Question 1

What does the transfer market look like for selling Emersonn and buying Delap in Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

In Gameweek 6, 25,092 managers have moved into Liam Delap while 23,271 have left Emersonn. The net direction of travel is clear: the FPL market is pricing Liam Delap as the better short-term asset. Transfer activity of this scale is typically driven by a combination of fixture awareness, expected returns, and ownership risk - all three of which feed into the analysis below.

Question 2

What is the ownership risk of keeping Emersonn over Delap in Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

Emersonn carries 3.6% ownership against 2.7% for Liam Delap. Holding Emersonn keeps you aligned with the majority - if they blank, you do not lose rank to most of your rivals. But that same ownership cuts both ways: a Liam Delap return while you hold Emersonn costs rank against the 2.7% who made the switch. Your rank ambition and mini-league position should shape how you weight this.

Question 3

What is the budget impact of selling Emersonn for Delap?

Accepted Answer

This transfer costs £0.1m extra, moving from Emersonn at £5.5m to Liam Delap at £5.6m. That upgrade cost needs to be funded from elsewhere in your squad or your bank. The question is whether £5.6m represents a price point that justifies the outlay relative to the expected return differential. At 2.7 projected points for Liam Delap against 5.3 for Emersonn, the model does not strongly support the additional spend this gameweek.

Question 4

How do the fixtures compare for Emersonn and Delap heading into Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

Emersonn actually holds the better immediate fixture in Gameweek 6: Fulham (H) rated Easy, compared to Liam Delap facing Crystal Palace (A) rated Medium. If fixture logic alone is driving the 25,092 transfers into Delap, the numbers do not fully support that rationale this week. The case for this transfer may be stronger as a medium-term hold rather than an immediate Gameweek 6 punt.
