Question 1

What does the transfer market look like for selling Raya and buying Suzuki in Gameweek 8?

Accepted Answer

In Gameweek 8, 16,737 managers have moved into Zion Suzuki while 16,692 have left David Raya. The net direction of travel is clear: the FPL market is pricing Zion Suzuki as the better short-term asset. Transfer activity of this scale is typically driven by a combination of fixture awareness, expected returns, and ownership risk - all three of which feed into the analysis below.

Question 2

What is the ownership risk of keeping Raya over Suzuki in Gameweek 8?

Accepted Answer

David Raya carries 44.6% ownership against 2% for Zion Suzuki. Holding Raya keeps you aligned with the majority - if they blank, you do not lose rank to most of your rivals. But that same ownership cuts both ways: a Zion Suzuki return while you hold Raya costs rank against the 2% who made the switch. Your rank ambition and mini-league position should shape how you weight this.

Question 3

What is the budget impact of selling Raya for Suzuki?

Accepted Answer

Selling David Raya at £6.1m for Zion Suzuki at £5.0m frees up £1.1m in your transfer bank. That freed budget can be redirected to a stronger position elsewhere in your squad, effectively making this move a two-stage value play: swapping Raya for Suzuki while strengthening another area. At 5.0 projected points for Zion Suzuki against 6.0 for Raya, the model does not strongly support the additional spend this gameweek.

Question 4

How do the fixtures compare for Raya and Suzuki heading into Gameweek 8?

Accepted Answer

David Raya actually holds the better immediate fixture in Gameweek 8: Everton (H) rated Medium, compared to Zion Suzuki facing Man City (H) rated Hard. If fixture logic alone is driving the 16,737 transfers into Suzuki, the numbers do not fully support that rationale this week. The case for this transfer may be stronger as a medium-term hold rather than an immediate Gameweek 8 punt.
