Question 1

Is Diogo Dalot a reliable DEFCON asset in Fantasy Premier League?

Accepted Answer

The picture is more mixed. earned the +2pt DEFCON bonus in 2 of 9 appearances this season. Diogo Dalot averages 6.96 defensive contribution actions per 90 minutes across 647 minutes played (50 total actions this season). That is a moderate workload rather than an elite one - DEFCON can land, but it should be treated as a bonus rather than a bankable weekly return. Treat the DEFCON return as a bonus rather than the headline reason to sign.

Question 2

How does Dalot rank among Fantasy Premier League defenders for DEFCON?

Accepted Answer

Dalot ranks 46 of 63 eligible defenders for DEFCON per 90 - the 29th percentile at their position. That places them below the level where DEFCON should be a leading reason to own them. Attacking output, price, and fixtures need to carry more of the weight in the buying case.

Question 3

What do Dalot's raw defensive numbers look like this Fantasy Premier League season?

Accepted Answer

Dalot has racked up 50 combined clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles across 647 minutes. That works out to 7.0 defensive actions per 90 minutes on average. The 10-plus threshold has been cleared in 2 of 9 appearances, converting to the +2pt DEFCON bonus each time. 647 minutes is enough to see the shape of the underlying rate, though a larger sample would tighten confidence.

Question 4

Should I sign Diogo Dalot for Gameweek 10 on DEFCON grounds?

Accepted Answer

Diogo Dalot's defensive workload of 6.96 actions per 90 is moderate rather than elite. The Gameweek 10 fixture is at home to Aston Villa, an FDR 3 matchup. A transfer on defensive contributions alone is hard to justify at this profile - lean on the fixture, price, or attacking output as the primary case and treat DEFCON as an occasional bonus.
