Question 1

Is Leif Davis a reliable DEFCON asset in Fantasy Premier League?

Accepted Answer

The number is not the reason to bring this player in. earned the +2pt DEFCON bonus in 0 of 9 appearances this season. Leif Davis averages 5.44 defensive contribution actions per 90 minutes across 810 minutes played (49 total actions this season). That places Leif Davis below the level where DEFCON becomes a genuinely bankable weekly return, so any manager signing them should be doing so for attacking output or fixture reasons rather than defensive contributions. The DEFCON return is not why you would sign this player - it is a bonus if it comes.

Question 2

How does Davis rank among Fantasy Premier League defenders for DEFCON?

Accepted Answer

Davis ranks 60 of 62 eligible defenders for DEFCON per 90 - the 5th percentile at their position. That places them below the level where DEFCON should be a leading reason to own them. Attacking output, price, and fixtures need to carry more of the weight in the buying case.

Question 3

What do Davis's raw defensive numbers look like this Fantasy Premier League season?

Accepted Answer

Davis has racked up 49 combined clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles across 810 minutes. That works out to 5.4 defensive actions per 90 minutes on average. The 10-plus threshold has been cleared in 0 of 9 appearances, converting to the +2pt DEFCON bonus each time. 810 minutes is enough to see the shape of the underlying rate, though a larger sample would tighten confidence.

Question 4

Should I sign Leif Davis for Gameweek 10 on DEFCON grounds?

Accepted Answer

Leif Davis's defensive workload of 5.44 actions per 90 is too thin to build a transfer around. The Gameweek 10 fixture is at home to Bournemouth, an FDR 3 matchup. If the attacking case is strong for other reasons, DEFCON is not the reason to hold back - but it should not be the reason to bring them in either.
