Question 1

Is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall a reliable DEFCON asset in Fantasy Premier League?

Accepted Answer

The DEFCON return is real but modest. earned the +2pt DEFCON bonus in 0 of 9 appearances this season. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall averages 7.83 defensive contribution actions per 90 minutes across 805 minutes played (70 total actions this season). That is a moderate workload rather than an elite one - DEFCON can land, but it should be treated as a bonus rather than a bankable weekly return. The rate needs to firm up before this player deserves priority on DEFCON grounds alone.

Question 2

How does Dewsbury-Hall rank among Fantasy Premier League midfielders for DEFCON?

Accepted Answer

Dewsbury-Hall ranks 40 of 71 eligible midfielders for DEFCON per 90 - the 45th percentile at their position. That places them below the level where DEFCON should be a leading reason to own them. Attacking output, price, and fixtures need to carry more of the weight in the buying case.

Question 3

What do Dewsbury-Hall's raw defensive numbers look like this Fantasy Premier League season?

Accepted Answer

Dewsbury-Hall has racked up 28 combined clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles across 805 minutes. That works out to 3.1 defensive actions per 90 minutes on average. The 12-plus threshold has been cleared in 0 of 9 appearances, converting to the +2pt DEFCON bonus each time. 805 minutes is enough to see the shape of the underlying rate, though a larger sample would tighten confidence.

Question 4

Should I sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for Gameweek 10 on DEFCON grounds?

Accepted Answer

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's defensive workload of 7.83 actions per 90 is moderate rather than elite. The Gameweek 10 fixture is at home to Coventry City, an FDR 2 matchup. A transfer on defensive contributions alone is hard to justify at this profile - lean on the fixture, price, or attacking output as the primary case and treat DEFCON as an occasional bonus.
