Question 1

What does the transfer market look like for selling Emersonn and buying Thiago in Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

In Gameweek 6, 59,271 managers have moved into Igor Thiago while 23,271 have left Emersonn. The net direction of travel is clear: the FPL market is pricing Igor Thiago as the better short-term asset. Transfer activity of this scale is typically driven by a combination of fixture awareness, expected returns, and ownership risk - all three of which feed into the analysis below.

Question 2

What is the ownership risk of keeping Emersonn over Thiago in Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

Igor Thiago is currently held by 9.1% of FPL managers against 3.6% for Emersonn. A 5.5 percentage point ownership gap means that if Igor Thiago returns a double-figure haul in Gameweek 6 and you are still holding Emersonn, you hand ground directly to that 9.1% ownership block. At scale, that rank movement is significant. The decision is not just about points - it is about where you land relative to the field.

Question 3

What is the budget impact of selling Emersonn for Thiago?

Accepted Answer

This transfer costs £2.3m extra, moving from Emersonn at £5.5m to Igor Thiago at £7.8m. That upgrade cost needs to be funded from elsewhere in your squad or your bank. The question is whether £7.8m represents a price point that justifies the outlay relative to the expected return differential. At 2.7 projected points for Igor Thiago against 5.3 for Emersonn, the model does not strongly support the additional spend this gameweek.

Question 4

How do the fixtures compare for Emersonn and Thiago heading into Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

Emersonn actually holds the better immediate fixture in Gameweek 6: Fulham (H) rated Easy, compared to Igor Thiago facing Aston Villa (A) rated Medium. If fixture logic alone is driving the 59,271 transfers into Thiago, the numbers do not fully support that rationale this week. The case for this transfer may be stronger as a medium-term hold rather than an immediate Gameweek 6 punt.
