Question 1

What does the transfer market look like for selling Thiago and buying Isak in Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

In Gameweek 10, 233,026 managers have moved into Alexander Isak while 20,939 have left Igor Thiago. The net direction of travel is clear: the FPL market is pricing Alexander Isak as the better short-term asset. Transfer activity of this scale is typically driven by a combination of fixture awareness, expected returns, and ownership risk - all three of which feed into the analysis below.

Question 2

What is the ownership risk of keeping Thiago over Isak in Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

Alexander Isak is currently held by 22% of FPL managers against 9.2% for Igor Thiago. A 12.8 percentage point ownership gap means that if Alexander Isak returns a double-figure haul in Gameweek 10 and you are still holding Thiago, you hand ground directly to that 22% ownership block. At scale, that rank movement is significant. The decision is not just about points - it is about where you land relative to the field.

Question 3

What is the budget impact of selling Thiago for Isak?

Accepted Answer

This transfer costs £1.4m extra, moving from Igor Thiago at £7.8m to Alexander Isak at £9.2m. That upgrade cost needs to be funded from elsewhere in your squad or your bank. The question is whether £9.2m represents a price point that justifies the outlay relative to the expected return differential. At 5.0 projected points for Alexander Isak against 5.5 for Thiago, the model does not strongly support the additional spend this gameweek.

Question 4

How do the fixtures compare for Thiago and Isak heading into Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

Alexander Isak faces Crystal Palace (A) in Gameweek 10 - a Easy rated fixture. Igor Thiago draws Brighton (A), rated Hard. The fixture swing is the clearest argument for making this move now rather than waiting. Buying into Isak before an easier schedule is a better entry point than chasing after they have already delivered. The 233,026 managers who have already transferred in have largely acted on this fixture window.
