Question 1

What does the transfer market look like for selling Thiago and buying Wissa in Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

In Gameweek 6, 135,411 managers have moved into Yoane Wissa while 51,429 have left Igor Thiago. The net direction of travel is clear: the FPL market is pricing Yoane Wissa as the better short-term asset. Transfer activity of this scale is typically driven by a combination of fixture awareness, expected returns, and ownership risk - all three of which feed into the analysis below.

Question 2

What is the ownership risk of keeping Thiago over Wissa in Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

Yoane Wissa is currently held by 18.8% of FPL managers against 9.3% for Igor Thiago. A 9.5 percentage point ownership gap means that if Yoane Wissa returns a double-figure haul in Gameweek 6 and you are still holding Thiago, you hand ground directly to that 18.8% ownership block. At scale, that rank movement is significant. The decision is not just about points - it is about where you land relative to the field.

Question 3

What is the budget impact of selling Thiago for Wissa?

Accepted Answer

Selling Igor Thiago at £7.8m for Yoane Wissa at £6.2m frees up £1.6m in your transfer bank. That freed budget can be redirected to a stronger position elsewhere in your squad, effectively making this move a two-stage value play: swapping Thiago for Wissa while strengthening another area. At 1.0 projected points for Yoane Wissa against 3.0 for Thiago, the model does not strongly support the additional spend this gameweek.

Question 4

How do the fixtures compare for Thiago and Wissa heading into Gameweek 6?

Accepted Answer

Yoane Wissa faces Coventry City (A) in Gameweek 6 - a Easy rated fixture. Igor Thiago draws Aston Villa (A), rated Medium. The fixture swing is the clearest argument for making this move now rather than waiting. Buying into Wissa before an easier schedule is a better entry point than chasing after they have already delivered. The 135,411 managers who have already transferred in have largely acted on this fixture window.
