Question 1

What does the transfer market look like for selling Walle Egeli and buying Thiago in Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

In Gameweek 10, 23,949 managers have moved into Igor Thiago while 14,027 have left Sindre Walle Egeli. The net direction of travel is clear: the FPL market is pricing Igor Thiago as the better short-term asset. Transfer activity of this scale is typically driven by a combination of fixture awareness, expected returns, and ownership risk - all three of which feed into the analysis below.

Question 2

What is the ownership risk of keeping Walle Egeli over Thiago in Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

Igor Thiago is currently held by 9.2% of FPL managers against 2.8% for Sindre Walle Egeli. A 6.4 percentage point ownership gap means that if Igor Thiago returns a double-figure haul in Gameweek 10 and you are still holding Walle Egeli, you hand ground directly to that 9.2% ownership block. At scale, that rank movement is significant. The decision is not just about points - it is about where you land relative to the field.

Question 3

What is the budget impact of selling Walle Egeli for Thiago?

Accepted Answer

This transfer costs £3.3m extra, moving from Sindre Walle Egeli at £4.5m to Igor Thiago at £7.8m. That upgrade cost needs to be funded from elsewhere in your squad or your bank. The question is whether £7.8m represents a price point that justifies the outlay relative to the expected return differential. At 5.5 projected points for Igor Thiago against 0.2 for Walle Egeli, the model backs the premium this gameweek.

Question 4

How do the fixtures compare for Walle Egeli and Thiago heading into Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

Sindre Walle Egeli actually holds the better immediate fixture in Gameweek 10: Bournemouth (H) rated Medium, compared to Igor Thiago facing Brighton (A) rated Hard. If fixture logic alone is driving the 23,949 transfers into Thiago, the numbers do not fully support that rationale this week. The case for this transfer may be stronger as a medium-term hold rather than an immediate Gameweek 10 punt.
