Question 1

What does the transfer market look like for selling Wissa and buying Thiago in Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

A total of 55,319 managers have sold Yoane Wissa this gameweek - a volume that reflects meaningful market concern rather than isolated decisions. Meanwhile, 19,659 have moved into Igor Thiago as an alternative, though the exit from Wissa is the stronger market signal in this pairing. Understanding what is driving those 55,319 sales is the key question heading into Gameweek 10.

Question 2

What is the ownership risk of keeping Wissa over Thiago in Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

Yoane Wissa carries 9.9% ownership against 9.2% for Igor Thiago. Holding Wissa keeps you aligned with the majority - if they blank, you do not lose rank to most of your rivals. But that same ownership cuts both ways: a Igor Thiago return while you hold Wissa costs rank against the 9.2% who made the switch. Your rank ambition and mini-league position should shape how you weight this.

Question 3

What is the budget impact of selling Wissa for Thiago?

Accepted Answer

This transfer costs £1.8m extra, moving from Yoane Wissa at £6.0m to Igor Thiago at £7.8m. That upgrade cost needs to be funded from elsewhere in your squad or your bank. The question is whether £7.8m represents a price point that justifies the outlay relative to the expected return differential. At 5.5 projected points for Igor Thiago against 1.2 for Wissa, the model backs the premium this gameweek.

Question 4

How do the fixtures compare for Wissa and Thiago heading into Gameweek 10?

Accepted Answer

Yoane Wissa actually holds the better immediate fixture in Gameweek 10: Fulham (A) rated Medium, compared to Igor Thiago facing Brighton (A) rated Hard. If fixture logic alone is driving the 19,659 transfers into Thiago, the numbers do not fully support that rationale this week. The case for this transfer may be stronger as a medium-term hold rather than an immediate Gameweek 10 punt.
